For 2012, Castrol has increased the contingency payout at NHRA Division races from $100 to $300 for winners and from $50 to $100 for runner-up racers in their respective categories. Sportsman classes eligible are Top Alcohol Dragster, Top Alcohol Funny Car, Comp, Super Stock, Stock, Super Comp, Super Gas, Super Street Top Sportsman and Top Dragster. Castrol is also posting contingency at all NHRA Full Throttle events, therefore significantly enhancing their support for NHRA Sportsman racers in both racing series.

To be eligible for the program, racers must run the approved Castrol contingency decal that can be obtained from the Castrol display trailer located along the sponsor midway at all NHRA events.
