Aerospace Components NHRA Excellence in Engineering Award, formerly known as the Best Engineered Car Award, will be presented at 12 events this season to an individual who brings a unique edge in craftsmanship and technology to each NHRA national event. As always, the NHRA Tech Department will select the winner at each event, but competitors also are encouraged to self-nominate their vehicles.
Competitors may print out and complete an online form to present to the inspectors during technical inspection asking that their vehicles be considered for the honor. Click here to access form.
The events Aerospace Components NHRA Excellence in Engineering Award will be presented at the Circle K NHRA Winternationals in Pomona, the Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals in Gainesville, the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Southern Nationals in Atlanta, the Toyota NHRA Summernationals in Englishtown, the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals in Norwalk, the O’Reilly Auto Parts Route 66 NHRA Nationals in Chicago, the NHRA Sonoma Nationals in Sonoma, the Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals in Indianapolis, the NHRA Carolina Nationals in Charlotte, the NHRA Nationals in Reading, the NHRA Toyota Nationals in Las Vegas, and the Auto Club NHRA Finals in Pomona.
Winners of the prestigious award will receive a specific Wally and be featured in National Dragster after each event.
