Announcing Team and Event Coverage set for JEGS NHRA SPORTSNationals

NHRA lead announcer Alan Reinhart will be calling the action along with Bob Unkefer and Warren Evans when the JEGS NHRA SPORTSnationals returns to Beech Bend Raceway Park in Bowling Green, Ky., May 27-29.  Additional coverage will come from National Dragster and NHRA Media with Dragster Sr. Editor Kevin McKenna and NHRA Media Relations Manager John Byczek in attendance.

Reinhart who has the lead role of announcing at NHRA’s Mello Yello Drag Racing Series events as well as being the color commentator on the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series shows on Fox Sports 1 is a die-hard NHRA sportsman race fan.

“We are pleased to have a talented line up of announcers and NHRA staff to cover the event for the benefit of both our racers and race fans,” stated Division Director Jay Hullinger.  “With Alan’s schedule being so hectic, I was pleasantly surprised that we could get him, in fact he actually jumped at the opportunity to be there and announce.   The in-depth knowledge of NHRA sportsman racing that Reinhart, Unkefer and Evans bring will be both enlightening and entertaining.”

McKenna and Byczek will provide pre-event, onsite and post event coverage.  McKenna has a strong background of both NHRA sportsman racing and that of the JEGS SPORTSnationals program while Byczek brings his media knowledge over from the NHRA national event circuit.

The event will also be streamed live on D3TV all three days.

To add to the coverage, an expanded photo crew has been lined up as well with Kevin Pepera and Alex Owens set to capture all of the event highlights and action for National DRAGSTER.
