Heritage Series Group 2 Rescheduled for Auto Club Famoso Raceway

The NHRA Hot Rod Heritage Series event for Group 2 classes from Rocky Mountain Raceways that was canceled due to rain, has been rescheduled for Auto Club Famoso Raceway during their Nostalgia Fall Championships, Sept. 17-18, which will make the event a double event – Two separate events in one weekend.

Auto Club Famoso Raceway will host a test-n-tune event on Friday, with one event taking place on Saturday followed by their Good Vibrations Saturday Night Nitro feature show.  The second event for Group 2 will be held on Sunday.  The event car count will determine the number of qualifying runs. Two events – Two entry fees (car and driver) – one fee for crew/team members.

This is a new event.  With RMR issuing a refund for their canceled event, there is no carry over for this event.  Qualifying will not carry over and entries are open to new racers in all classes.

It was announced at the event in Salt Lake, that the Nostalgia Funny Car class will return to Rocky Mountain Raceways August 27, for their Summer Send Off Nitro Shootout to complete their event.  The Funny Car Field is set based off qualifying at RMR.  Alternates will be inserted as needed.

Additional details for the Group 2 double header at Auto Club Famoso will be released soon.  Details for the Group 1 class rainout  from RMR is still to be determined.
