Tuesday Tech Question presented by Evans Coolant

I am currently putting together a 2010 Camaro to race in SST, SG & ET.  I wanted to get clarification on the rules in regards to using the Drive by Wire throttle system.  I am planning on using the factory pedal which is electronic only.  The pedal will control a factory style Drive by Wire throttle body.  For the ignition and fuel control, I plan on using the Holley Dominator EFI engine management system.  Is this combination legal to use in these classes.

Answer:

Yes it is legal for SST, SG & ET as the Drive by wire system is original OEM equipment.  On nhraracer.com you can go to the NHRA Accepted Products page and view all Electronic Fuel Injection systems that have been accepted for use.
