Tuesday Tech Question presented by Evans Coolant

As a tech inspector for my local track, how important is it to check the date of manufacture and expiration dates on safety related products certified to SFI Specifications?

Answer:

It is important to check manufacture and expiration dates on all items certified to SFI Specifications.  SFI specifications are intended to enhance the product’s ability to perform the function for which it is intended.  Racers are responsible for keeping all of their parts, pieces and equipment in compliance with the NHRA Rulebook and the applicable SFI specs.
