Tuesday Tech Question presented by Evans Coolant

Question:

Am I allowed to install a dry-sump oil system on my 1969 Camaro SS/CA car?  I know that there are some other Super Stock combinations that allow a dry-sump, but I am not sure if I am one of those combinations.

Answer:

No you are not.  Per the 2017 NHRA Rulebook, dry-sump oiling systems are prohibited from being used in all Super Stock classes other than SS/ES, SS/FS, SS/GS.
