At the same event, Greg Hunter started and did a burnout with the temporary fuel tank insulation installed on his Top Alcohol Dragster. This violation resulted in a disqualification of his Q3 run.

During a post-run inspection at the same event, Tony Stewart's Top Fuel Dragster was found to have a non-approved component. This violation resulted in a disqualification of his Q4 run.
