During eliminations of the 2025 DENSO NHRA Sonoma Nationals, Cody Coughlin displayed unsportsmanlike behavior and comments toward a competitor. While no fine or point deduction was issued, Mr. Coughlin received a formal warning for participant conduct. Any future incidents of this nature will result in disciplinary action. The idea that racers should be able to “race freely” at Indy is at odds with the goal of maintaining fair, factored competition in Stock and Super Stock. Following E1of the 2025 Muckleshoot Casino Resort NHRA Northwest Nationals, a post-run inspection revealed that Cameron Ferre’s SFI Spec 6.2 clutch bellhousing and flywheel shield did not have all required bolts installed on the inspection cover or adjustment slot.
