The NHRA Technical Department has released the latest version of the 2021 NHRA Hot Rod Heritage Racing Series Rulebook Supplement. The changes made will come into effect January 1, 2022 and impact A/Fuel, Nostalgia Funny Car and Nostalgia Top Fuel and pertain to helmet removal system and protective equipment requirements. The following action has been taken against Rick Hord regarding the non-removal of the fire bottle safety pin prior to his run in his Pro Modified entry during qualifications at Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis, IN during the 2021 Dodge/SRT NHRA U.S. Nationals, September 1-5, 2021. 8/31/2021 As the result of runs under the Automatic Horsepower Factoring System (AHFS) 1.20-second under policy at the NHRA Divisional event, the following change has been made. Due to pending weather on scheduled parking days, the schedule on Sunday, August 29th will be modified. The Main Gate to Lucas Oil Raceway will open at Noon ET on Sunday and NHRA staff will immediately transition to Racer Parking at noon till 6:00 PM for SS, STK, SC, SG, SST, TD, and TS.
