Feb. 19, 2021 The NHRA Technical Department recently made changes to the Class Guide, due to clerical errors as follows. Chev 1987 corrected shipping weights for all body platforms Chev 1987 added Z-28 and IROC-Z 305 190 combination Chev 1987 Sport, LT 305 190 and 215 permitted to run through 2021 72147

The NHRA Technical Department has released additional 2021 Rule Amendments. Unless otherwise noted in this document, these additional amendments will come into effect immediately. The 2021 NHRA Rulebook Amendments can be found under the Rules section of NHRARacer.com. 72149

If a driver/rider should "over-stage" (driving completely through BOTH the Pre-Stage and Stage beam in the process of Staging) in any category during eliminations, that driver is not allowed to back up and re-stage. That run is disqualified resulting in a round loss for the competitor. 72135

As NHRA Drag Racing is ramping up with the return to racing in many parts of the country, a new Racer Self-Certification tech program for the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series will be introduced for participants. This program is in effect for LODRS events.

NHRA officials announced today a clarification to the 2021 Lucas Oil Drag Racing series point structure. NHRA officials announced today a temporary TELEHEALTH option that allows the extension of active Jr Drag Racing League through May 31st, 2021. The TELEHEALTH option will provide an alternative for competitors who are unable to schedule an exam with their primary care physician due the COVID-19 pandemic.
