Due to the current pandemic, NHRA has revised it’s grade point policy for the 2021 season in regards to sportsman national event entry. The national event entry registration site will utilize the highest of each racer’s 2019, 2020 or 3-year average grade point. For the 2022 season, current plans are to return to the original grade point policy (previous year, current year, or three-year average). 72104

Due to the current pandemic, NHRA has revised the GOLD/SILVER/BRONZE card policy for 2020 card holders. The following are in effect for those racers who were unable to fully utilize their G/S/B cards in 2020. Gold Card – 7 LODRS events total between 2020 & 2021 for 2020 Holders + 5 National events between the 2 years. Silver Card – 5 National Events between the 2 years. Horsepower Adjustments – From Competitor Requests The NHRA Technical Department released Horsepower changes December 18, 2020 after review and evaluation of written requests from Lucas Oil Sportsman Series competitors. All changes are effective January 1, 2021. Only those requests received by November 17, 2020 were considered during this scheduled evaluation. 2020 End of Year Stock, Super Stock Horsepower Adjustments Announced The following Stock/Super Stock horsepower changes were released December 18, 2020 produced by the Automatic Horsepower Factoring System (AHFS). This is the scheduled horsepower adjustment for this year. All changes are effective January 1, 2021. Wabash Valley Dragway has signed on as the newest NHRA member track in the NHRA North Central Division. Located in Terre Haute, Ind., the track was first built in 1971.

NHRA officials announced the 2021 Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event contested at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park scheduled for May 14th – 16th has been moved to October and will expand to a double event.
