Question: I have a full-bodied car 1964 Falcon that I run in Pro. I would like to add a finish line “beam breaker” in front of the bumper. What rules will I need to follow? Answer: Per the 2020 NHRA Rulebook, General Regulations, page 19, 4:5 Ground Clearance it states “the installation of a “beam breaker” in front of the body is restricted to extending no farther forward than the body or bumper and must also satisfy the 3-inch ground clearance requirement.” 71684

Automatic Horsepower Factoring System (AHFS) The AHFS is used to review and evaluate runs in Stock and Super Stock for possible horsepower adjustments. All changes are effective January 1, 2020. Only those requests received by November 19, 2019 were considered during this scheduled evaluation. The NHRA Technical Department is rescinding the Stock and Super Stock cylinder head rule changes shown below that were released in the 12/4/2019 version of the NHRA Amendments. Dec. 4, 2019 The NHRA Technical Department recently made changes to the blueprint specifications. This change is in regards to the use of the Mopar Performance 2836139 (LD-4B) intake manifold for the 1965 thru 1967 Mopar Stock engines.
