NHRA announced today where Top Alcohol Dragster, Top Alcohol Funny Car, Competition Eliminator, Super Stock, Stock, Super Comp, Super Gas, Super Street, Top Dragster and Top Sportsman will be contested in 2020 at each of NHRA’s 24 National Events.

The NHRA has issued a $1,500 monetary fine against Mike Braswell for violating the participant conduct policy. During an event at Las Vegas Motor Speedway a vehicle with a parking pass assigned to Mike was witnessed doing burnouts and donuts in the pits. This decision is appealable per the 2019 NHRA Rulebook. 71666

The NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, where the future stars of the sport earn their racing stripes, returns to action for the 2020 race season to compete at premier racing facilities across the country.

Alaska Raceway Park, located in Palmer, Alaska, has signed on as a new member track. Originally built in 1964, the multi-use motorsports park will become a member of the Northwest Division. The official signing of the member track agreement took place at the Dodge NHRA Nationals in Las Vegas.

The NHRA Technical Department has announced the addition of two new combinations to the E3 Spark Plugs NHRA Pro Mod Drag Racing Series presented by J&A Service for the 2020 season. The two new additions will include a 526 cubic inch centrifugal supercharged and a 960 cubic inch nitrous injected combination. Due to an event scheduled at the Fairplex the weekend prior to the Auto Club NHRA Finals a holding lot has been made available prior to the posted date/time for stacking. The NHRA has denied products claimed on contingency forms submitted by Jeff Hairrington. During a review, it was discovered the product decals were counterfeit. In addition to denying the product claimed, Jeff has been suspended from the program for the next two contingency opportunities.
