Question: Can I remove the hood latch and use hood pins on my Stock / Super Stock entry? Answer: Per the 2019 NHRA Rulebook sections 11A and 12A pages 11 and 9 under Body:7 Hood it reads "Full stock hood including latches, hinges, springs, brackets, and braces as originally produced must be retained." With that said you may add hood pins, in addition to the original latch. 71508

The NHRA confiscated counterfeit a parking pass from Mike Utley’s team during the National Event at Sonoma Raceway the weekend of July 26-28, 2019. Mike was assessed a one thousand five hundred-dollar ($1,500) fine which must be paid in full prior to being allowed to participate at any future NHRA events. The NHRA disqualified Corey Hopkins from the July 25-26, 2019 Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event at Heartland Motorsport Park. During the technical inspection process, it was discovered that the intake manifold did not comply with the rules. Statement of Action Against Participant
The NHRA disqualified Ryan Rudrick from the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event at Route 66 Raceway for refusing teardown. In addition to being disqualified from the event, Ryan has been suspended from competition. Refusing teardown violates Section 1, page 10, 1.6.2 Technical Inspection of the 2019 NHRA Rulebook.
