Corrections to the School of Automotive Machinists & Technology NHRA Factory Stock Showdown Rules and Procedures
New rules were released today to correct errors made in the original release of November 1st, 2017. These corrections include the removal of the 2010 Mustang Cobra Jet 330, 500 HP, 4.0L Whipple supercharger and the 2012 Mustang Cobra Jet 330, 510HP, 4.0L Whipple supercharger combinations. Statement of Action Against Participant - Larry Dixon
The NHRA imposed an indefinite suspension of competition privileges against Larry Dixon for violating NHRA Rules, particularly Section 1.3.1 Participant Conduct and 1.6.3 Chassis Inspection of the 2017 NHRA Rulebook. NHRA Tech Department discovered the use of a NHRA chassis tag on an unauthorized and unapproved two seat dragster. Any further incidents could result in further action. School of Automotive Machinists & Technology NHRA Factory Stock Showdown Rules and Procedures
At the seven School of Automotive Machinists & Technology NHRA Factory Stock Showdown events to be held in 2018, competitors will qualify and compete in their own separate eliminator from Stock. Fields at all events will be expanded to (16) cars. Those not qualifying will not be permitted to run in the Stock eliminator as in past years. The SAM Tech NHRA Factory Stock Showdown qualifiers will be competing for the NHRA Wally trophy, event champion’s jacket and an event purse.
