NHRA Technical Department Makes Parity Adjustment to NHRA J&A Service Pro Mod Drag Racing Series
Based on performance numbers from the first three races of the NHRA J&A Service Pro Mod Racing Series, the NHRA Technical Department is decreasing the allowable minimum weight on Nitrous assisted entries by 25 pounds. The new allowable minimum weight for the Nitrous assisted entries will be limited to a minimum of 2,425 pounds. I’m finishing up my Super Pro Mustang, and one of my racing buddies said he did not think I could use a ball-lock pin in my parachute mount. Is he correct? Answer: Your racing buddy is correct. The use of ball-lock pins for parachute mounting is prohibited. Instead, parachutes must have their own independent mounting with sleeved 3/8-inch minimum steel bolts or steel pins. 69362
