Question: I have a Snell 2010 helmet that I am using at bracket races throughout my division. My helmet is in good condition, but I think that it will not be legal soon. Is this the case or can I continue to use it for a while? Answer: Your helmet does not expire for a few more years. The Snell 2010 helmet expires on 1/1/2022. 69366

Based on performance numbers from the first three races of the NHRA J&A Service Pro Mod Racing Series, the NHRA Technical Department is decreasing the allowable minimum weight on Nitrous assisted entries by 25 pounds. The new allowable minimum weight for the Nitrous assisted entries will be limited to a minimum of 2,425 pounds. The minimum allowable weight for Supercharged entries will remain unchanged at 2,600 pounds and Turbocharged entries will also remain unchanged at 2,6

Question: I recently purchased a 1989 Ford Mustang that I plan to use to compete in Stock Eliminator. Are there any restrictions on what fuel I can use? Answer: There are fuel restrictions in Stock Eliminator. You may only use NHRA-accepted racing gasoline. Question: I have a motorcycle with tubeless tires that is capable of running in the 10-second zone. Will I need to have metal valve stems installed? Answer: Yes you will need metal, screw-in valve stems. These valve stems are mandatory in tubeless tires on any vehicle running 11.99 or quicker. 69364

I am building a car to compete in Stock Eliminator. The car came with power steering but I would like to remove this system. Am I allowed to do this? Answer: Yes you are allowed to make this change. In Stock Eliminator power steering “may be removed or converted to manual steering.” 69363

I’m finishing up my Super Pro Mustang, and one of my racing buddies said he did not think I could use a ball-lock pin in my parachute mount. Is he correct? Answer: Your racing buddy is correct. The use of ball-lock pins for parachute mounting is prohibited. Instead, parachutes must have their own independent mounting with sleeved 3/8-inch minimum steel bolts or steel pins. 69362

If we are towing our Jr Dragster with a front-end-dolly behind our golf cart do we still need to have a flag? Answer: Anytime a Jr Dragster is being towed a fluorescent or brightly colored flag, 5 feet above the ground, attached to the Jr Dragster is required. 69361
