Today NHRA officials announced two revisions to the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series national and regional points structure for the 2022 season for Top Alcohol Dragster and Top Alcohol Funny Car competitors.

NHRA will be evaluating quotas on an event-by-event basis throughout the year due to scheduling variations. The quotas for the event will be released no later than the week the event opens for entries. Link to National Event Quotas 72388

Hunter Patton’s license has been suspended until January 1, 2023 and until completion of anger management sessions, after an unacceptable on-track actions at South Georgia Motorsports Park, an NHRA member track. The action is appealable. 72371

NHRA participants, fans, and others planning to attend the Auto Club NHRA Finals, Nov. 11-14, to witness the dramatic crowning of the 2021 NHRA world champions in Pomona will NOT be subject to vaccine verification or proof of negative COVID test due to voluntary capacity limitations imposed by the NHRA.

Due to events happening at LVMS prior to the Dodge SRT Nationals there will be no early arrival holding or stacking lot. Please do not arrive prior to Tuesday October 26, 2021 as you will not be allowed access to the property.

The following action has been taken against Richard Freeman and Josh Hart regarding an altercation that occurred between Freeman’s and Hart’s teams during the Texas NHRA FallNationals at Texas Motorplex in Ennis, Texas, October 7-10, 2021. As a result of the incident, Freeman and Hart have both been fined ten thousand dollars ($10,000). The fine will be dedicated to enhancing the capabilities of the Safety Safari.
