NHRA Technical Department Makes Parity Adjustment Changes to the FLEXJET NHRA Factory Stock Showdown
Based on the FLEXJET NHRA Factory Stock Showdown performance numbers from the NHRA Midwest Nationals at World Wide Technologies in St. Louis, IL, the NHRA Technical Department is reducing the supercharger overdrive by changing the upper supercharger pulley for the 2021 Dodge Drag Pak from 3.500 inches to 3.750 inches. The NHRA Technical department wants to remind all Stock and Super Stock competitor’s the use of any electronic starting line enhancer, in these categories, is prohibited. Based on Pro Stock Motorcycle performance data, the NHRA Technical Department has made the following parity changes. These rule changes will go into effect immediately. Top Fuel SFI 2.3 Chassis Specification Update
The current version of SFI specification 2.3, designated by SFI as Specification 2.3U dated effective May 7, 2021 (hereinafter “2.3U”), provides in part as follows on page 24, section VI, “TUBING SPECIFICATIONS – FRONT HALF”: Tubing Minimum Maximum Bay Length 1.25 x .065” 34” At present, NHRA plans to amend the NHRA Rulebook for 2024 to provide that 2.3U will apply except that the “Tubing Minimum” for the front half top and bottom frame rails will be 1.25 x .058”.
