Horsepower Adjustments – From Competitor Requests The NHRA Technical Department released Horsepower changes December 18, 2020 after review and evaluation of written requests from Lucas Oil Sportsman Series competitors. All changes are effective January 1, 2021. Only those requests received by November 17, 2020 were considered during this scheduled evaluation. 2020 End of Year Stock, Super Stock Horsepower Adjustments Announced The following Stock/Super Stock horsepower changes were released December 18, 2020 produced by the Automatic Horsepower Factoring System (AHFS). This is the scheduled horsepower adjustment for this year. All changes are effective January 1, 2021. It should be noted that these changes include only results produced by the AHFS, and do not include written letters or requests. Those changes are listed separately

10/22/2020 As the result of runs under the Automatic Horsepower Factoring System (AHFS) 1.20-second under policy at the NHRA Division 2 event, the following changes have been made. The horsepower rating for 1987 GM Camaro/Firebird, entries with the 305 cubic inch engine and a factory rating of 185-190 currently rated at 240, has been increased by fifteen horsepower, to 255 horsepower; for Super Stock Eliminator. 10/06/2020 As the result of runs under the Automatic Horsepower Factoring System (AHFS) 1.20-second under policy at the NHRA Division 1 event, the following changes have been made. The index for SS/AH has been decreased by 0.15 seconds to 9.45 seconds. NHRA's 2020 Automatic Horsepower Factoring System outlines that any run of 1.20-seconds or more under the index will receive an immediate index decrease or horsepower increase. The following action has been taken against Jonathan Gray regarding the non-removal of the fire bottle safety pin prior to his run during qualifications at Gainesville Raceway that occurred on September 25, 2020 during the Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals. Gray has been fined Two Thousand Five Hundred dollars ($2,500). The fine will be dedicated to enhancing the capabilities of the Safety Safari. This action is appealable. 72039

The following action has been taken against Lance Line regarding his unprofessional and disruptive behavior toward an NHRA official at Texas Motorplex in Ennis, Texas on September 18, 2020 during Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event #45.
