The NHRA Technical Department released Horsepower changes December 19, 2012 after review and evaluation of written requests from Lucas Oil Sportsman Series competitors. Today NHRA released rule amendments for the 2013 NHRA Pro Mod Drag Racing Series. The majority of these rule amendments were made in a continuing effort to maintain parity among the turbocharger, nitrous and supercharger combinations in the category. The turbocharger combination will have a reduction in minimum weight from 2,700 to 2,650 pounds. NHRA has named PRC System’s EDR1.0 Event Data Recorder (EDR) and WA1.0 EDR Harness as mandatory equipment for Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock and Pro Mod categories beginning with the 2013 Mello Yello Drag Racing Season.
