Horsepower Adjustments – From Competitor Requests
The NHRA Technical Department released Horsepower changes December 19, 2012 after review and evaluation of written requests from Lucas Oil Sportsman Series competitors. The NHRA Technical department wants to remind Stock and Super Stock Eliminator competitors the use of spherical bearings / heim joints is prohibited. The 2013 NHRA Rulebook, section 10A page 7 and section 11A page 5 SUSPENSION FRONT reads in-part “Must retain complete stock front suspension system as produced be manufacturer for body used." NHRA RELEASES RULE AMENDMENTS FOR NHRA PRO MOD DRAG RACING SERIES
Today NHRA released rule amendments for the 2013 NHRA Pro Mod Drag Racing Series. The majority of these rule amendments were made in a continuing effort to maintain parity among the turbocharger, nitrous and supercharger combinations in the category. The turbocharger combination will have a reduction in minimum weight from 2,700 to 2,650 pounds.
