Holden Laris was disqualified in his Top Dragster from the Lucas Oil Nationals. Holden made a pass in the 2nd round of Qualifications at 5.997 seconds. His pass was below the minimum of 6.00 seconds and resulted in his disqualification from the event. This disqualification is not appealable. 72865

The NHRA Technical department wants to remind all Stock and Super Stock competitor’s the use of any electronic starting line enhancer, in these categories, is prohibited. The 2023 NHRA Rulebook, section 21 page 10 1:12 THROTTLE reads in-part “Per Class Requirements throttle control must be manually operated by driver’s foot; electronics, pneumatics, hydraulics, or any other device may in no way affect the initial throttle operation." 72864

Chris Case has had his competition privileges suspended for one year for having a physical altercation with one of the driver/participants at the Eastern Conference Junior Drag Racing League Final. The suspension is appealable. 72857

Based on Pro Stock Motorcycle performance data, the NHRA Technical Department has made the following parity changes. These rule changes will go into effect immediately. The current version of SFI specification 2.3, designated by SFI as Specification 2.3U dated effective May 7, 2021 (hereinafter “2.3U”), provides in part as follows on page 24, section VI, “TUBING SPECIFICATIONS – FRONT HALF”: Tubing Minimum Maximum Bay Length 1.25 x .065” 34” At present, NHRA plans to amend the NHRA Rulebook for 2024 to provide that 2.3U will apply except that the “Tubing Minimum” for the front half top and bottom frame rails will be 1.25 x .058”. Al Ackerman was disqualified and fined $1,000 for not wearing a head and neck restraint while making a pass with his Competition Eliminator entry during Q3 of the Lebanon Valley LO13 event. The fine is appealable. The fine will be dedicated to enhancing the capabilities of the Safety Safari. 72828
