NHRA officials announced today a new contingency program that rewards NHRA Sportsman racers in a variety of categories, including six NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series classes, who are eliminated in the semifinal rounds at national events.

The semifinal round losers in Comp, Super Stock, Stock, Super Comp, Super Gas, Super Street, Top Sportsman and Top Dragster will earn $50 gift certificates from the participating manufacturers and racer claimed companies. The certificates are redeemable at the NHRA Manufacturers Midway or directly from the respective manufacturers.

Following the semifinal rounds, the round losers will report to the NHRA Tech area and complete a contingency claim form. The decal and product verification process is the same as the procedure for the winners and runners-up.
