Tuesday Tech Question

Question:

 

I drive a Super Gas car. Is it still OK to wear a 3.2A/5 jacket and pants in this category?

Answer:

 

Super Gas Sam,

 

Yes that is OK with the following exception. If the vehicle is supercharged or turbocharged with alcohol or when automatic transmission is located in drivers compartment, then the jacket and pants or a suit must meeting SFI Spec 3.2A/15 is required. Also required with these exceptions are SFI Spec 3.2A/5 gloves and boots or shoes meeting SFI Spec 3.2A/5.
