The South Central Division Four Good Guys is proud to announce a new 1\8-mile National Open Style event May 8-9, 2015, at Texas Motorplex. This is the first National Open Style several years and will feature three classes that will compete for National Status with Cash, Grade Points and Wally’s up for grabs.
There will be one qualifier on Friday night during the Texas Motorplex AAA Street Legal Night Fast Friday event and two qualifying attempts starting Saturday morning, May 9. Eliminations will follow Saturday morning qualifying.
“We can’t wait to have a fun and exciting time with this new format,” NHRA South Central Division Director Trey Capps said. “There are so many vehicles in the Division that fall into one of these classes. There will even be several Texas Motorplex Summit E.T. Points series classes that a racer can get into and run as well.”
Texas Motorplex Competition Director Clint Wallace said he’s looking forward to hosting this new format, allowing more racers to compete in more classes.
“Coming to the Motorplex and running the South Central Challenge as well as a few of our Summit E.T. Series classes is a winning format for everyone, “ Wallace said. “This is an opportunity to run more classes in one weekend than racers normally get to and we think this is something that racers will love to run for years to come.”
