NHRA officials have announced that the Governor’s Cup at Sacramento Raceway has been expanded to a doubleheader. The first event will begin on Friday, September 18th and will conclude on Saturday, Sept. 19. The second event will be contested on Sept. 20. The event is pivotal in the Hot Rod Heritage Series as it will conclude the season and crown series champions for Jr Fuel, 7.0 Pro and all Group 2 categories. 71999

All LODRS entrants for the events affected by the announcement today will not need to withdraw from the event, this will automatically be done. As the result of the cancellation of the California Hot Rod Reunion, the traditional season finale for the NHRA Hot Rod Heritage Racing Series, NHRA officials have announced that the 2020 Heritage Series season will now conclude at two separate events on the weekend of Sept. 18-19.
