Question: I’m finishing up a 10-second E.T. Snowmobile that I will be running at my local NHRA track in Super Pro Bike. Is it legal to use the original oil injection tank as a fuel tank? Answer: Yes it is. In the 2019 NHRA Rulebook section 4E E. T. Snowmobile, page 18, chassis: 4, fuel tank, it states “Oil injection tank may be used as a fuel tank.” 71335

The NHRA imposed a three-year suspension and $2,500 monetary fine against Jimmy Cowan (Comp/TS-3970) for violating NHRA Rules. Jimmy violated the participant conduct policy by submitting a false application for licensure. Any further incidents could result in further action. Jimmy can appeal the decision, per the 2019 NHRA Rulebook. 71426

We are proud to announce that Accelerated Travel returns to present the #1 Qualifier in TAD and TAFC with $100 at each Regional Event in The Northeast Division. In order to qualify for the award, racers will be required to have Accelerated Travel decals on their race vehicle for the duration of the event. The entire team at NHRA welcomes you to the 50th annual Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals. As a result of contesting all categories for the 50th annual event, we have scheduled round one of eliminations for Super Stock, Stock, Super Comp, Super Gas, Super Street, Top Sportsman and Top Dragster for Thursday. Question: I have purchased a complete Super Gas Willies and wanted to know what basic items I should check for expiration dates before I take it to my local NHRA track for licensing runs. Answer: When you go to an NHRA Member Track to do licensing runs the tech inspector will do a tech inspection of your car. My process is to ask the driver for their NHRA license. 3/12/2019 As the result of runs under the Automatic Horsepower Factoring System (AHFS) 1.20-second under policy at the NHRA national event, the following changes have been made. The horsepower rating for 1976 Ford Mustang, entries with the 302 cubic inch engine and a factory rating of 133 currently rated at 158, has been increased by nine horsepower, to 167 horsepower; for Stock Eliminator. NHRA and No Problem Raceway officials announced today that due to weather continuing to plague the entire South Central Division, the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series Regional event at No Problem Raceway Park originally scheduled for this weekend, March 1-3, 2019, is being rescheduled. The new date for the event will be June 21-22, 2019.
