Al Ackerman was disqualified and fined $1,000 for not wearing a head and neck restraint while making a pass with his Competition Eliminator entry during Q3 of the Lebanon Valley LO13 event. The fine is appealable. The fine will be dedicated to enhancing the capabilities of the Safety Safari. 72828

NHRA has updated section 4H ELECTRIC-POWERED VEHICLE of the 2023 Rulebook. All electric vehicles running 7.50 seconds quarter mile/ 4.50 seconds eighth mile or slower will now be required to comply to this new rule package. The following action has been taken against Taylor Vetter regarding an incident that occurred during the NHRA Summit Racing Equipment Nationals in Norwalk, OH, June 22-25, 2023. Based on the FLEXJET NHRA Factory Stock Showdown performance numbers from the first 5 races of the 2023 season, the NHRA Technical Department is reducing the supercharger overdrive by changing the upper supercharger pulley for the 2019 Ford Cobra Jet with iron blocks from 3.500 inches to 3.750 inches.
