Robert Tasca III had his run disqualified and was fined $2,500 for making a pass with one front-body-release handle unlatched on his Funny Car entry during Q1 of the Gerber Collison & Glass NHRA Route 66 Nationals presented by Peak Performance at the Route 66 Raceway in Elwood, Illinois held May 17 through May 21, 2023. The fine will be dedicated to enhancing the capabilities of the Safety Safari. The fine is appealable.
