As a result of the permit issued by King County Hearing Examiner for the upcoming NHRA Northwest Nationals, stacking will begin Wednesday, August 3rd at 7:00 AM for sportsman teams. When the stack lot opens, teams need to proceed to the main entrance of Pacific Raceways where officials will guide you to the stack lot (Parking Lot C).

The NHRA Hot Rod Heritage Series event for Group 1 classes from Rocky Mountain Raceways that was canceled due to rain will not be rescheduled for the 2016 racing season. Group 1 classes include A/Fuel, Jr. Fuel and 7.0 Eliminator.

Over the first half of the 2016 race season, we have noticed in all categories an increase in brake and parachute failures. These failures have contributed to more vehicles not being able to stop properly. The NHRA Technical Department would like to remind all competitors to thoroughly inspect your brake and parachute systems. Please look for damage to brake lines, rotors, discs etc.. It is important for you to make sure that your brakes are working properly before each pass.

The following Stock/Super Stock horsepower changes were released June 28, 2016 produced by the Automatic Horsepower Factoring System (AHFS). This is the first of two scheduled horsepower adjustments for this year. All changes are effective June 28, 2016. It should be noted that these changes include only results produced by the AHFS, and do not include written letters or requests. Those changes are listed separately.
