I’m in the process of building a Top Dragster for 2016 and wanted to know if there currently any ignition systems that are not legal? Answer: There are several systems that are not legal. NHRA announced today improvement in the insurance coverage provided to its valued members and racers. A new program will automatically provide $1,000,000 of Commercial General Liability insurance on pit vehicles for each racer participant at NHRA Mello Yello and Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series events.

The 2016 JEGS Super Quick Series, the longest running eighth-mile touring series in the country, was set to kick off this weekend, April 9 and 10 at Gateway Motorsports Park for its 28th season; however officials postponed the event due to weather conditions until June 18 and 19. The series will get underway April 23 and 24 at Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis.

Heartland Park, LLC today announced Scott Gardner has been named President and General Manager of Heartland Park Topeka [HPT]. As President and General Manager, Gardner will have a position on the board of directors and will take responsibility for all of the facility’s motorsport venues. Laura Gardner will join the team as Director of Business Operations. The husband and wife team who have managed motorsports venues for over 20 years will begin their positions in April 2016.
