Date: 9/12/11© To: All NHRA Nostalgia Funny Car and Nostalgia Top Fuel Competitors Subject: Clarification of Cooling of Fuel Rule
To clarify the rule pertaining to the cooling of fuel in the Nostalgia Funny Car and Nostalgia Top Fuel Classes, please refer to the paragraph labeled Fuel/Air in Section 1.5: FUEL SYSTEMS located in the 2011 Hot Rod Heritage Racing Series Rules Supplement. The Fuel/Air paragraph states: Any method of artificially cooling or heating fuel prohibited (i.e., cool cans, Freon, wet rags, etc.), except as noted in Class Requirements. Because there is not a special note in the class requirements of either Nostalgia Funny Car or Nostalgia Top Fuel, cooling of fuel is prohibited. Additional text will be added to the 2012 Hot Rod Heritage Rules Supplement to further clarify this rule.
