Horsepower adjustments following the Lucas Oil NHRA Division 4 events in Belle Rose, LA

As the result of runs under the Automatic Horsepower Factoring System (AHFS) 1.20-second under policy at the NHRA Division 4 event, the following changes have been made.

 

The horsepower rating for 1969 Chevrolet Camaro, entries with the 396 cubic inch engine and a factory rating of 375 currently rated at 405, has been increased by four horsepower, to 409 horsepower: for Stock Eliminator automatic.

 

The horsepower rating for 1986 Chevrolet Truck, entries with the 305 cubic inch engine and a factory rating of 190 currently rated at 197, has been increased by two horsepower, to 199 horsepower: for Stock Eliminator automatic.

 

The horsepower rating for 88-89 Chevrolet Camaro, Pontiac Firebird entries with the 350 cubic inch engine and a factory rating of 230 currently rated at 264, has been increased by two horsepower, to 266 horsepower: for Stock Eliminator automatic.

 

NHRA's 2026 Automatic Horsepower Factoring System outlines that any run of 1.20-seconds or more under the index will receive an immediate index decrease or horsepower increase. These changes are effective March 31, 2026.
