NHRA Levies Fines Against Participant

The NHRA imposed a one (1) year suspension and a five thousand ($5,000) fine against Bob and Bonnie Dennis for violating NHRA Rules, particularly Section 1.6.4 Retention of Vehicles and Parts; 1.6.2 Technical Inspection and 1.3.1 Participant Conduct of the 2013 NHRA Rulebook.  NHRA Tech Department discovered the use and attempted passing off of seatbelts with counterfeit SFI tags.  Mr. Dennis refused to allow the NHRA Tech Department to confiscate the seatbelts that were found to have counterfeit SFI tags.  Any further incidents will result in additional disciplinary action up to and including suspension of competition privilges.
