NHRA Releases 2025 Rulebook Amendment Updates

The NHRA Technical Department has released additional 2025 Rule Amendments. Unless otherwise noted in this document, these additional amendments will come into effect immediately. The 2025 NHRA Rulebook Amendments can be found under Tech, then Rules on NHRARacer.com.

• Section 4, Jr. Drag Racing League, Support Group, Gauges, Page 17 – Added Computech Datamaxx JR gauge as accepted junior gauges

• Section 6, Pro Mod, Designation, Page 1 – Minimum weights updated

• Section 11B, Factory Stock Showdown, Designations, Page 16 – Parity update

• Section 13K, Factory X, Engine, Oil System, Page 49 – Beginning January 1, 2026, dry-sump oil system permitted

• Section 17, Pro Stock, Drivetrain, Transmission, Page 4 – Planetary transmission prohibited; final gear ratio 1-to-1 mandatory

• Section 21, General Regulations, Engine, Throttle, Page 10 – Throttle requirements clarified
