NHRA Releases 2026 Rulebook Amendment Updates

The NHRA Technical Department has released additional 2026 Rule Amendments. Unless otherwise noted in this document, these additional amendments will come into effect immediately. The 2026 NHRA Rulebook Amendments can be found on NHRARacer.com under Tech, then Rules.

• Sections 14 and 14B, Top Alcohol Dragster, Supercharged Nitro combination permitted

• Section 16, Pro Stock Motorcycle – Parity update

  • Gen 1 (up to 160 cid; 60-degree angle, 2-valve, pushrod) – 625 620 pounds

  • Gen 2 (up to 160 cid; 60-degree angle, 2-valve, pushrod) – 635 630 pounds

  • Gen 1/ Gen 2 Hybrid (Gen 2 case or head) – 635 630 pounds
