Technical Department Reminder Concerning Safety Items for 2022 Season

As a reminder to all NHRA racers, all certifications for 2010 SFI and Snell helmets expired on 12/31/2021. Consequently, SFI and Snell helmets bearing a 2010 certification tag are no longer permitted. Additionally, beginning 1/1/2022, all parachute pilot chutes used in Top Alcohol Dragster, Top Alcohol Funny Car, Pro Mod, Pro Stock, Top Fuel and Funny Car must be made of a bright color, not black, to be visible on the racing surface if detached from the main chute.
