Question:

My Son and I are going to replace his Jr Dragster carburetor with a Mikuni carburetor for 2013.  One of the other Jr Dragster teams said I would need a carb support since I was rubber mounting it to the manifold.  What will I need?

Carb Support Carl

Answer:

Carb Support Carl,

Yes, you will need a carb support.  It states in the 2013 NHRA Summit Racing Equipment Jr Dragster Rulebook on page 36, FUEL SYSTEM “Carburetors that are mounted via rubber boots/adapters and clamps must have a secondary mechanical device (bolt, turnbuckle, bracket, etc.) securing the carburetor to the engine/intake manifold.”
