As the result of runs under the Automatic Horsepower Factoring System (AHFS) 1.20-second under policy at the NHRA U.S. Nationals event, the following changes have been made.

The horsepower rating for 83-84 GM Camaro, Firebird, entries with the 305 cubic inch engine and a factory rating of 180-200 currently rated at 263, has been increased by two horsepower, to 265 horsepower: for Stock Eliminator automatic.

The horsepower rating for 1972 Ford Maverick, Comet, entries with the 302 cubic inch engine and a factory rating of 143 currently rated at 1433, has been increased by three horsepower, to 146 horsepower: for Stock Eliminator automatic.

NHRA's 2026 Automatic Horsepower Factoring System outlines that any run of 1.20-seconds or more under the index will receive an immediate index decrease or horsepower increase. These changes are effective Sept. 10, 2026.
