The NHRA Technical Department has released additional 2026 Rule Amendments. Unless otherwise noted in this document, these additional amendments will come into effect immediately. The 2026 NHRA Rulebook Amendments can be found on NHRARacer.com under Tech, then Rules.

Section 2, Race Procedures, Proper Use of Safety Equipment – Updated
Section 16, Pro Stock Motorcycle – Parity updates, minimum weights
Suzuki (must be NHRA-accepted)
(up to 113 cid, 4-valve V&H head) – 660 pounds
(up to 113 cid, 4-valve Monster head) – 610 pounds
Section 18, Funny Car, Body Latches/Release Handles – Beginning September 18th, 2026, tape on rear release handle must be contrasting color; with other language updates.
